Zero Knowledge Proofs Video
I just came across the following youtube video
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fOGdb1CTu5c
about zero knowledge proofs from about 2 years ago. The professor discusses the topic at 5 different levels.
All I learned is that I have zero knowledge about zero knowledge proofs. Ha ha, real funny, these jokes write themselves. I'm here all night.
In fact, it was a nice series of discussions, but I did notice something else:
In addition to zero knowledge, we had ZERO BLACKS. In fact, in a minor variation, this was the "no blacks and no Latinx people" rule in effect.
There was a quick transition from one interview to the next where the video showed a black male, but no black or Latinx student or faculty member was interviewed.
I was glad that there were 2 females interviewed. That's progress, which is long overdue, and this is consistent with the results I have been discussing with myself of late.
6 people total, counting the faculty member interviewing
gender breakdown: 4 male, 2 female
racial breakdown: 2 white, 4 Asian (2 south, 2 east)
This is about 2 years late, but, just a suggestion for future reference: it might have been nice to interview a black/Latinx person.
Update: Ever since I clicked on this video, my youtube feed has shown me a bunch of these "Concept X at 5 levels" which is a pretty cool idea in my opinion. The one on quantum computing had a little black girl. My reaction is "Yay!" and "about time". It might be hard, but now you should try to find a visibly Latinx kid. Even better, try to find a visibly Latinx or black graduate student or faculty member.
